Chancellor College handed over a Television White Space Internet to Mulanje secondary school.

The installation of the Internet at the school was done in conjunction with the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) with the aim of widening access to cheaper and easy Internet services to students and other people in rural areas of the country. The project which had been greatly championed by the faculty of Science at Chancellor College was finalized on 21st May, 2015.

Speaking at the handle over ceremony, the vice Principal of Chancellor College, associate Professor Samson Sajidu, said the Internet has come at the right time as it will help students to expand the knowledge they get in class. The vice Principal also said they will continue installing such projects in other Secondary Schools in Malawi to ensure that students have easy and cheaper accessibility to internet services.

In his remarks, the minister of information, Tourism and Culture, Kondwani Nankhumwa said such projects are crucial not only to the students but also to the whole country as many sectors of development nowadays depend on internet for them to be successful.
